Early Vote Count Shows Competitive Race in Nepal’s Ongoing Election

As vote counting continues amid Nepal’s ongoing election campaign, early results indicate a competitive political landscape with both emerging and traditional parties gaining ground in several constituencies.

According to the latest party-wise trends, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has made a strong early showing, winning 3 seats and leading in 112 constituencies, positioning itself as a major contender in the current vote count.

The Nepali Congress, one of the country’s major political parties, has secured 2 seats so far and is leading in 10 constituencies. Meanwhile, the Nepali Communist Party has won 1 seat and is ahead in 6 constituencies.

Another major political force, CPN-UML, has yet to register a victory but is currently leading in 12 constituencies, indicating potential gains as counting progresses.

Smaller parties are also appearing in early leads. The Shram Sanskriti Party is leading in 6 constituencies, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal, and Ujyalo Nepal Party are each leading in one constituency. The Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) has not yet secured any wins or leads in the current count.

Election officials have stated that these figures represent preliminary trends, and results may change as more ballots are counted from across the country. Analysts note that if the current pattern continues, the election could lead to intense political negotiations and possible coalition discussions among major parties.

Further updates are expected as vote counting continues in the coming hours. 🗳️
