RSP Leader Rabi Lamichhane Wins Chitwan–2 with Landslide Victory
Rastriya Swatantra Party chief secures decisive mandate as party momentum grows nationwide

The President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, has secured a landslide victory in Chitwan-2, further strengthening the party’s growing influence in Nepal’s ongoing election results.
According to the final vote count, Lamichhane received 54,402 votes, comfortably defeating his closest rivals by a wide margin. His nearest competitor, Meena Kumari Kharel from the Nepali Congress, secured 14,564 votes, while Ashim Ghimire of the CPN-UML received 6,992 votes.
The overwhelming victory highlights the strong support base for Lamichhane and his party among voters in the constituency. Political observers say the result reflects growing public trust in new political leadership and reform-oriented agendas.
Lamichhane’s win comes at a time when the Rastriya Swatantra Party has been gaining significant momentum in several constituencies, including a historic clean sweep in Kathmandu.
Supporters celebrated across Chitwan following the announcement of the results, viewing the victory as a major endorsement of Lamichhane’s leadership and the party’s vision for governance and reform.
